Why we love this brand

The Ole Henriksen philosophy is simple – ‘being faithful with your skin care routine is the best investment you can make for the future of your skin'. We could not have put it better ourselves. Ole Henriksen are dedicated to creating products that deliver results enabling your skin to be the very best it can be. The products are formulated with some of nature's most effective botanicals and are not tested on animals. Ole's personal approach and dedication to the ‘shop floor' is reflected in his presence at Ole Henriksen concessions in stores, as well as time spent treating clients in his spa.

Where we sourced the brand

Whilst on holiday in California, one of our Directors was lucky enough to experience an 8-step Calmative Complexion Treatment at the Ole Henriksen Spa at the hands of one of the spa's experienced staff. He was so impressed with the experience and how it made his skin feel, that on his return to England he immediately called a meeting with the buying team to tell them about his fantastic discovery!

Why they were specially selected

We personally source the very best products from all over the world and our buying team research each brand thoroughly to bring our customers the world's best beauty brands. Ole Henriksen was established in Beverley Hills, California and their products have been firm favourites of the rich and famous since 1975, with celebrity fans such as Katy Perry, Charlize Theron and Eva Mendes. Bath and Unwind believe that everyone should benefit from Ole's expertise and this is why we have chosen to bring these products to the UK.

Why this brand are the best at what they do

Ole's encounter with acne as a young man became the catalyst for his career in skin care. Whilst working in Jakarta, Indonesia, a local esthetician by the name of Lagita put Ole under her healing touch and cleared his complexion with her natural treatments. As a result of this transformation, Ole enrolled at the Christine Shaw Beauty College in London where he studied chemistry, anatomy, face and body careand electrolysis

Upon his graduation, Ole worked for Helena Rubinstein as a member of their educational team in London.

In 1974, Ole specialised in acne treatments and chemical peels for clients at Fabulous Faces in San Francisco, opening the Ole Henriksen of Denmark Skin Care Center in Beverley Hills, just one year later.

We believe that Ole's personal experience with skin problems as a young person has given him a deep understanding as well as the technical expertise gained through many years of continued research and development, to drive forward his ever expanding skin care line with enthusiasm and passion.

Why their products work

Conceptualising and developing products has always been Ole's favourite hobby. For many years the Ole Henriksen Spa products were custom blended by Ole himself in small batches. Ole does not follow trends when he develops new products, instead, concepts come to him that serve a specific and important purpose in the matters of skin care.

Many products have evolved from Ole's treatment room as he has worked so intimately with skin over the years. Sometimes, Ole will develop a treatment before a product around a particular ingredient that has piqued his interest. This was true in the case of African Red Tea which led to the creation of the African Red Tea Age Defense Collection.

If the results are positive in the treatment room with a new exotic extract, what follows is a new product that utilises the properties found in that extract.

How the product interacts with the skin and renders results is a top priority when Ole develops a new formulation. He is constantly searching for new exotic and effectual ingredients to add to their portfolio of soothing, hydrating, re-texturising and renewing ingredients.

Ole Henriksen's Tried & Tested - African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser

"I have been using this product for a few months now. I use it in the morning to help wake me up! The liquid turns to foam as you pump it out of the bottle and I really like the subtle orangey fragrance. I drink African Red Tea (rooibos) as it is very good for you and full of minerals as well as alpha hydroxyl acid and zinc which are really good for the skin. AHAs reduce the signs of ageing, which is good news for someone like me! I'm really happy with this product, it works well and I am impressed at how long the bottle has lasted.”.
