This new addition to the K-pak family is a great time saver for those who still want to get that legendary K-pak rejuvenating power without having to layer on another moisture treatment.
I have very straight East Asian hair but it is usually double or even triple processed - permanent colour, highlights/bleached with fancy colour and/or one of these new perms, but no daily need for heat styling.
In the past, I would mix a portion of the K-pak protein treatment and K-pak hydrating treatment and apply it during the 4-step process. It works well if you have little time but still need to get that protein treatment in. However, I always felt like I am wasting the goodness of a longer K-pak only treatment.
When this came out I felt I had to try it. Bought a 50ml of this recently and it was almost exactly like when I mix the two treatments in the shower, except with less fumbling and more accuracy.
It is a very good product for post chemical work without the hassle. I would recommend using this 2x a week and use the kpak treatment 2x a month if you have highly processed hair. If your hair isn't super processed, this alone may be sufficient.
I was surprised by this product, but not in a good way! I gave it 2 stars because it did make my hair nice and soft, and I have used Joico K-PAK products in the past and love them so I do think they're a good brand. But this treatment just isn't worth the money. I have long, thick hair but needing to use half the bottle in one go is ridiculous! I'd put a blob on my hair and it felt as though it just disappeared and I ended up using another conditioner at the same time so I didn't use it all in one go. It's no better than the normal Joico K-PAK conditioner so I'd buy that with the shampoo, which together make your hair gorgeous and go a really long way. For circa £15 a bottle I would really expect more.
