The pomegranate extract is a rich source of tannins, anthocyanins, vitamins (A, C, E) and minerals and is widely used for its antioxidant properties. One pomegranate contains three times the antioxidant properties of red wine or green tea. This high level of antioxidants is effective in combating free radicals that cause premature skin cell ageing. Pomegranate extract has also significant astringent properties, due to the contained tannins. As a result, it tightens the pores and strengthens the skin epidermis, thus being ideal for oily and combination skin.

I bought this for my partner as he tends to have quite a few spots on his back. His habit is to also scratch his back regularly so I thought this might help. At first, he said the soap was hard and quite difficult to work with. Once he had used it more and it had softened, he said it smelt really fruity and really nourished his skin. I would recommend this to people who prefer to use bar soaps and are prone to acne.
