Why we love Aromatherapy Associates
The Aromatherapy Associates product line was launched in 1985 by aromatherapists Sue Beechey and Geraldine Howard. They had begun practising in the seventies, after training with some of the earliest practitioners in the fledgling aromatherapy industry. The collection has since grown to include bath and body products, gifts and skincare, all enriched with various blends of essential oils to bring the soothing benefits of aromatherapy to hotels, spas and homes across the world.
We love that Aromatherapy Associates was formed from the experiences and expertise of aromatherapy specialists, whose aim has consistently been for the company to introduce aromatherapy to wider markets, transforming our daily routines into something a little more luxurious.
Why we chose Aromatherapy Associates
Internationally, a number of spas and hotels offer treatments using Aromatherapy Associate’s indulgent oil blends to soothe the mind and body. We chose to stock the retail collection in order to bring you a touch of luxury so you can create a relaxing spa experience whenever you need it.
We were also seriously impressed with the company’s commitment to supporting fairtrade, organic and traditional agriculture methods, and the partnerships they have established with farmers and suppliers to ensure the high quality of ingredients is maintained. Products are designed with the environment in mind, using the least damaging ingredients, and packaging is nearly all recyclable.
Why their products work
No matter what their purpose, each product in the Aromatherapy Associates collection contains a specifically formulated blend of complementary essential oils, which works to enhance your emotional well-being. The ingredients sourced are of the highest quality, and neither they nor the finished products are tested on animals. Ingredients that could hinder the performance of the essential oils are eliminated wherever possible, for example the bath, body and skincare ranges are free from mineral oils, genetically modified ingredients, SLS, parabens and synthetic colours and fragrances.
Our hero product
All the Aromatherapy Associates bath and shower oils are wonderful to use, as they fill the air with beautiful, intoxicating fragrances. One of the staple favourites here at Bath & Unwind HQ is the De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil, a blend of lavender, rosemary and ginger that helps relax your body. It is particularly great to use if you are suffering from sport and activity related aches, as using it in a hot bath or shower can ease stiffness in muscles and joints.
