Why we love Badger Balm
The Badger brand was founded in 1995 by the Whyte family in rural Gilsum, New Hampshire, when carpenter Bill Whyte developed the first batch of Healing Balm
to soothe his dry, cracked hands. Astounded by the effectiveness of the formula, the Whyte family continued to produce and refine other balms, using organic and natural ingredients wherever possible. Their product line has grown to include a variety of lip and hand balms, sunscreen, and a range specifically formulated for babies and children. Today, the company continues to operate within a framework of principles concerned with environmental sustainability, fairness and integrity, and is involved with a number of charities and non-profit organisations.
We love Badger Balm for producing a gorgeous and effective range of balms while sticking to its admirable principles.
Why we chose Badger Balm
We chose Badger Balm as it has become something of a cult brand in recent years, and the products are effective and versatile while being produced to the highest ethical standards. We also love the cute tin packaging and affordability of the line, with the lip balms and mini balms making it into many of our Christmas stockings.
Why their products work
The Badger mission when it comes to their range is a simple one: “To create fabulously pure and effective products of the highest natural quality, based on simplicity and natural preparation”. They continue to develop products using this approach, without using artificial ingredients or chemically processed raw materials. The positive reviews we get demonstrate the products literally do what they say on the tin.
Our hero product
Badger Balm Sleep Balm
is one of our best selling products, and has received lots of positive feedback from our customers. The balm contains a sophisticated blend of essential oils, such as rosemary, lavender and bergamot, and helps you fall asleep naturally by quieting the mind. Containing the same extra virgin olive oil base as the other balms, it is extremely moisturising and as well as aiding a good night’s sleep it can be used to moisturise lips, hands, elbows and other dry areas on the body.
