Why we love this brand
The Essie brand was formulated 30 years ago in New York by Essie Weingarten and has become one of the most successful nail care companies in the world. A luxury leader that blends the fashionable with the functional. Essie seeks to redefine the boundaries of colour and creativity.
Why they were specially selected
Essie pride themselves on offering award winning, fashion forward nail polish colours, with unforgettable shades and names, high quality formulas and a superior product selection. Essie premiered her first 12 unconventional nail polish colours in 1981, some of which are still in today's collection. Since then she has gone on to introduce a range of treatments and solutions to the range and developed internationally. Bath & Unwind is pleased to be working with natural brands and Essie Nail Colours are DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free.
Why this brand is best at what they do
Over the years Essie has become one of the most trusted, iconic names in the beauty industry. With a continually growing collection of nail colours they are forever producing high quality, on-trend colours and products. Famously in 1989, Queen Elizabeth's hairdresser sent Essie a letter requesting the shade ‘Ballet Slippers' the only colour which Her Majesty would wear! This shade is still featured in their collection of over 200 different colours. After winning their first beauty award in 1996 they have gone on to collect many more including ‘Best Nail Polish' and they are often featured in many top magazines.
Essie 3 Way Glaze is one of our bestselling products. It is a base coat, top coat and nail hardener in one which makes it a great multi use product and great value for money. It contains ingredients to build your nails strength, whilst simultaneously providing a good base for colour and a protective top coat with an incredible high gloss finish that will last and last. As with all Essie varnish's, it has a chip resistant formula and outstanding durability, which is easy to apply and offers a professional finish.
Before painting your nails apply Nail Varnish remover to prepare the nail and remove any oil. Then apply lots of thin coats of varnish rather than one thick one as it will dry quicker and help your manicure to last longer.
